Pretty Woman

Walking down the street, it was the shoes I spotted first, pink with pom poms, almost like slippers. Then I noticed she was pretty and stylish.

Happy Families

Our neighbours asked me to take photographs of their family get together in one of the function rooms of the Captain's Club Hotel because it was the first time everyone would be together, 33 in all. I particularly like this picture of part of the group because it's happy and not posed.

Remembrance

I took this photo at 11.00am on the eleventh day of the eleventh month 2011 or 11.11.11.11 as it is known. I thought using this clock was appropriate because, at the end of my 22 years Army service in 1976 I had to choose a demob course and I chose clock repairing. I made this clock up from parts of other clocks which were on the scrapheap, the case from one and the movement from 3 others. So, it is an Army clock and is still going strong in our kitchen to this day, 35 years after being thrown out!!

Polar Bear

It has been quite cold but nice for a walk. The Polar Bear shape in the chalk on the coast of the Isle of Wight is very clear today.

Character Study

Now, that's what I call eyebrows but they wouldn't last long if Ruth saw them, she is always checking up on me and if she sees a single long hair she comes at me to pull it out, cruel!

International Relations

I was working in the Samaritan's Purse warehouse today, packing the Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes when these four ladies arrived, they are Ukraine Salvation Army members. It was nice to talk to them especially as we send shoeboxes to Ukraine occasionally.

Interesting scene

I followed this family for a while waiting for an opportunity for a photograph. When the woman was standing up you would have to describe her shape as globular. The kid was crying, loud enough to attract the attention of people around them. The woman wasn't being nice but she wasn't smacking the child.

Multicultural

This took me back to my days in Malaya, she certainly has a Malay look.

Dining Room

She's obviously talking to someone, perhaps she eats there every day.

I wonder why

I wonder what encourages people to do way out things. In this case why does she want to attract attention to herself.

Young Shoppers

Just milling about, I wonder what their plans are and what they are thinking!

Playtime

I don't think he was making much money and he was very good, playing classics.

Togetherness

I didn't take this of course but it was taken with my camera. It's a fairly reasonable photo of us as a couple for a change and I thought it might be nice to post it on my blog.
